I recently stayed at Mtito Safari Camp, and it was amazing. From the moment we arrived, the friendly staff made us feel very welcome.

One of the best parts was picking fresh, organic vegetables for our meals. It was so cool to choose my own lunch from the garden. This made the dining experience really special.

The food was delicious, and after every meal, Chef Evans would come and ask how we liked the food. This showed how much they cared about our experience.

I also want to give a big shout out to Ivy, the very friendly waiter who served us. Ivy made every meal even better with her kindness.

The tents were very comfortable. It was wonderful to fall asleep with the sounds of nature all around. The dining area by the river was another highlight. We could see hippos in the water and wild animals on the other side while we ate. This was truly unique and exciting.

Mtito Safari Camp isn't for everyone.

It's located outside the reservation and doesn't cater to those seeking loud music, all-you-can-eat buffets, horse riding, bows and arrows games, or late-night backpacker parties. If that's what you're after, then Matito Safari Camp might not be the best fit for you.

However, here are 11 reasons why you should consider staying at Matito Safari Camp:

1. Exceptional Dining: Instead of a buffet, you'll enjoy fixed 4 or 5-course gourmet meals prepared by a highly talented chef. Seriously, the food is amazing.
2. Personalized Service: Each tent comes with its own staff member dedicated to fulfilling your needs.
3. Warm Hospitality: Peter and the team make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Actually, way before.
4. Luxurious Tents: Equipped with comfortable beds, writing desk, mosquito nets, in-tent showers, modern toilet seats, and outdoor sun beds, you'll have everything you need. It is surprising to see the stylish furniture inside a tent. very nice touch.
5. Idyllic Location: Surrounded by lush greenery and located by the river, it's a true oasis. Wow. So beautiful 😍
6. Wildlife Sightings: Spot giraffes, elephants, and hippos without even leaving the camp. Seriously, that's a beautiful and amazing experience.
7. Extra Comfort: Additional and different kinds of pillows are available upon request for a restful night's sleep. I only found it out on the second night...

This place is an authentic safari campsite. It's a luxury campsite with modern utilities that are eco friendly that is harmless to the environment.  And the camp scenery is the natural environment with bushes, Acacia trees and a flowing river where the animals come by for the water. There's an organic garden on site with foods that is prepared for your meals.  Food there is tasty.  And there's a nice swimming pool right in the middle of the camp that makes a good place to cool off on a hot afternoon.  Not to mention the best thing about the campsite are the friendly staff. Mtito Safari camp, how do i even start to express the amount serenity and ambience that this place exhumes. It's a luxury boutique camp that would put some 5 star resorts to shame. Even before you set foot inside the camp you are greeted by Gazelle's, Elephants and even Giraffes. This is nothing but a tip of the iceberg in regards to what this amazing camp has to offer.

From the moment you set foot in the camp you are greeted by a very well trained and friendly staff that are just good vibes. The camp is uniqely set in the sense that its carefully thought through and its just leading from a nice place to an even nicer place. The well thought out path that leads to our tents, that overlook the river. The tents are spacious, well lit and ventilated, you wouldn't consider it a tent given all the amenities inside. From the luxurious shower heads that are really relaxing especially when the birds are singing, to the the very comfy beds that once you lay on it you wouldn't wanna get up given the relaxing sounds you get from the flowing river. It's such a nice place to take a break from technology that you can have birds act as your natural alarm clock to get up and go explore what the camp has to offer.

Security is top notch and the guards are really friendly, they escort you without intruding your personal space all be it while still holding convos with you for a good bonding experience. The dining area has a beautifull gazebo like feel to it that overlooks the flowing river. The serving staff are just marvelous they kept our four course meals flowing smoothly, kudos to that. What really took my breath away was when we were enjoying our meals and we saw Giraffes, Hippos and Monkeys that made the experience one to forever remember. The chef made the experience evem better in the sense that he was open minded enough to come out and get your output once your meal was done, Lovely guy he was. Im not one for veggies but given the organic nature of their groceries being planted inhouse, makes the experience better, everything is freshly picked for each meal that i almost licked my plate at some point. Coming from a guy who used to underate veggies you just have to experience this first hand to understand what i mean, trust me you will fall in love with veggies once chef Evans sprinkles some Mtito Vibes to it.

The camp has such a unique culture with staff that ive never seen anywhere else, the staff are treated as guests that it almost made me abit jealous. To them they weren't working rather enjoying their hobbies. They have a beautiful spot called the chillspot with imported grass that is just amazing, the grass flows through as a path way all the way to the pool. The pool gives a secluded and quiet feel that's to die for, you can just have a cool refreshing swim after a long nature drive or just sit poolside to enjoy a glass of freshly made watermelon juice infused with mint, that was my favourite but the choices are endless.

I only had one downside with the camp, The fact that i had to leave is what broke my heart. Everything else was superb and many thanks goes to our host Peter. The vast plans you have and shared with us while with you has me in belief that the camp is trully in safe hands. I want to share our amazing experience at Mtito Mara Safari Camp. It was more than just a trip; it was like stepping into the heart of Mtito, full of good vibes.

As we entered the camp, the safari magic began unfolding. Lions, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and zebras welcomed us, creating a mesmerizing scene.

The team at Mtito Mara made our stay truly special. The staff welcomed us with big smiles and genuine friendliness, making us feel like part of the Mtito family. The cozy beds made us feel like powerful lions ready to take on the day.

A special shout out to Chef Evans, who created mouthwatering meals for us. We were delighted to know that the fresh organic vegetables came straight from the garden to our plates. It added a wholesome touch to our dining experience. After meals, Chef Evans would personally check in on us, asking about our dining satisfaction. Ivy, our friendly waiter, ensured that our food was not only delicious but also served with care.

The camp's surroundings were equally enchanting. The swimming pool offered a refreshing escape, and the sound of the Talek River whispered tales of adventure. Spotting hippos along the Talek River was a surreal experience, adding a touch of wild beauty to our stay.

The best experience I've had in my entire tourism life. Mtito Mara is a very unique and serene location which feels unlike any location in the country. The food was very delicious and 100 per cent organic. The experience leaves you wanting to add more ays to your stay.
